Assistant Controller (Finance)

Job Description
This role manages accounting for the North America businesses to including Planning, Forecasting, Accounting, Capital and Expense Budgetary Controls, Internal Controls, and support for External Audit/Internal Audit work for our Wholesale business in a multi-brand environment.
• Partner with Direct or Finance and CFO for the Americas to provide critical financial information, insight, and analysis to support and execute various strategic plans
• Help drive monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, forecasts and planning data along with preparing the proper analysis and presentations.
• Provide proper analysis for customer, brand and category profitability.
• Lead month-end closing process by preparing and/or reviewing all ledger input for monthly close. Analyze key P&L and balance sheet accounts. Ensure timely delivery of financial statements and other reporting.
• Direct involvement on SOX implementation for our US Wholesale Business.
• Drive process improvement through internal controls, system integrity, internal reporting, and all other processes.
• Lead day to day financial organization with a strong sense of urgency and a focus on adding value to the business.
• Mentor and coach team to achieve organizational and department goals.
• Partner with internal teams to drive margin control and analysis, sales allowance and budget control, inventory control and analysis.
• Provide timely and accurate ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by senior management and Corporate finance.
• BSBA - Accounting
• 10+ years of progressive experience up to Assistant Controller
• Consumer Goods industry experience
• Demonstrated complex data systems exposure
• Strong analyst; budget/process; forecast; and business decision support.
• Experience related to inventory/cost accounting.
Preferred Skills and Industry Experience :
• CPA or MBA degree
• Strong Systems; SAP
• Operational grounding or interest
