Job Title: Technical Services Supervisor Location: North Platte, Nebraska Position Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Services Supervisor to join our team at Sustainable Beef. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of food safety and quality assurance, ensuring that our products consistently meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Your expertise in food production and quality processes will be crucial as you manage daily tasks, conduct audits, and verify documentation to maintain compliance. This role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence among team members. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the quality control process to ensure product standards are met for incoming raw materials, in-process checks, and finished goods. Conduct regular food safety and GMP audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. Train and supervise team members on food safety and quality assurance procedures. Verify production paperwork and reports for accuracy. Coordinate with production staff to resolve any food safety or quality concerns promptly. Collect, analyze, and summarize quality data to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts. Ensure accurate and compliant records are maintained, following food safety protocols. Support special projects related to quality assurance and operational improvements. Provide encouragement and support to build a cohesive and effective team. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in accordance with company policies and regulations. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree in Food Science, Biology, or a related field is preferred but not required. Previous experience in a manufacturing or processing plant is strongly preferred. Previous supervisory experience in a production environment preferred. Knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, and SSOPs is highly valued. HACCP certification preferred. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management. Ability to foster a collaborative team environment and motivate employees. Participate in training programs to improve skills. Follow all company policies and procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Ability to work with a sense of urgency, multitask, and meet seasonal or deadline-driven peaks. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to teamwork and leadership. Functional Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks in a dynamic work environment. Must be able to stand, walk, twist, reach, bend, climb, and lift up to 40 lbs regularly. Maintain good personal hygiene.
