SUD Admissions Coordinator (Project Management)
Promptly sign into phone at the beginning of each day
Answer patient and referent phone calls in a timely and courteous manner in compliance with team goals
Accurately schedule and educate patients on appropriate services
Effectively triage requests and communicate with key interfaces
Verify and update patient demographic information at each scheduling interaction (address, phone number, insurance, and any additional insurance policies)
Promptly complete tasks in the SUD Admissions task basket
Communicate scheduling outcomes with referral sources in keeping with scheduling policy
Maintain positive relationships with referral sources
Add all external referents to the Patient Care Team in EEHR
Ensure applicable funding is in place prior to scheduling
Maintain SUD waitlists as needed
Communicate clinical decisions to clients and referents regarding SUD level of care, SUD treatment admission criteria, and alternative treatment recommendations/options
Follow all office and scheduling policies and procedures
Locate and interpret documentation in electronic patient charts
Collect payment information for copayments, private payments, patient balances and records payments
Handle patient complaints and concerns and escalate to the Call Center Management Team, Clinic Administrative Managers, SUD Site Supervisors, or SUD Program Managers when appropriate
Submit non-scheduled appointments on SharePoint
Report number of intakes scheduled daily
Collegial and teamwork attitude with all staff and patients
Keep office space orderly
Attend mandatory before/after-hours trainings, and relevant meetings as assigned
Promptly complete other duties as assigned by the Call Center Management Team
Assist with shift coverage in the event of staff shortage
Commit to position for minimum of 1 year
Qualifications:
1. Experience working in health care facilities or SUD treatment facilities preferred
2. Strong ability to multi-task, handle stress, deescalate, and problem solve
3. Excellent critical thinking skills
4. Positive attitude and ability to be flexible
5. Keep all business information strictly confidential
6. Must be proficient in use of computers
7. Must be able to work full time with scheduled office hours of 40 hours per week
8. An interest in substance use disorders, and the treatment of substance use disorders is strongly preferred
9. High School Diploma required
10. Bachelor's Degree preferred
