What you'll do:
The Applications Support Specialist provides technical support by troubleshooting and resolving application issues, installing and configuring software, and maintaining system documentation. This role involves identifying recurring problems, escalating issues to appropriate teams, and ensuring updated documentation for both internal and third-party applications. The Specialist also assists in evaluating and recommending technology solutions to improve system efficiency.
What we're looking for:
- 2+ years of experience in developing and supporting enterprise software systems, including multi-tiered client-server and web-based applications, as well as installing and supporting integrated third-party applications.
- High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field preferred; candidates without a degree can qualify with an additional 4 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services (AWS and/or Azure)
- A solid understanding of code and script (YAML, JSON, Python, PowerShell), Java, IIS web server technologies, and both Linux and Windows server environments.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork skills, and knowledge of current computer technology trends.
