2nd Shift Production Supervisor (Finance)
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Supplying & coordinating daily production schedules; oversee all parts of the following fiberglass truck cap/tonneau cover operations: gel & mold prep; lamination; pull, cut & grind. Spot-checks all areas for quality issues and makes appropriate adjustments. Works on streamlining production departments. Maintain excellent communication within the team. Monitor and maintain material usages. Well versed in chemical reactions and compatibilities. The person in this job may have responsibility for some part of the plant hazardous waste management program including but not limited to labeling drums, moving hazardous waste containers, performing inspections, and signing hazardous waste manifests. As such, this person will be trained commensurate with those job duties assigned and in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements. Also, management at any time can assign additional tasks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years supervisory experience in a production environment.
SKILLS: Polyester fiberglass background
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct supervision of approximately 50 employees in the following areas: gel & mold prep; lamination; pull, cut & grind.
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Nextel Cell/DC phone; computer; telephone.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing/walking a minimum of 10 hours per day.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS: Deal with multiple personalities; make timely decisions and maintain harmony in the work environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Early morning hours; flexible hours during peak production; fast-paced production environment. Must be able to work around fiberglass.
