Building Engineer II (Construction)

The Building Engineer II is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, life safety, and tenant requests as well as other tasks assigned by the Chief or Assistant Chief Engineer.
Responsibilities
Provide assistance ensuring all building systems are operating safely, efficiently, and as originally intended. Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs to building systems and equipment. Complete all service requests promptly. Self-initiate service requests as needed. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local codes and regulations. Work with vendors and contractors within the building. Troubleshoot and repair of building systems. Monitor all building systems. Respond to building emergencies.Identify opportunities to continually improve maintenance processes and make recommendations to supervisors. Respond to 24-hour emergency calls as required. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays Work with all building personnel cooperatively and professionally. Strictly adhere to all safety rules, policies, and procedures. Assist in the maintenance of inventory as needed for cost effective operations. Prepare reports and documentation as required. Other duties as assigned.
