About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Outreach and Engagement, the Communications & Events Coordinator will help build a culture of engagement, generosity, and impact. In this role, you'll bring energy and creativity to employee events, office management, and internal communications--making sure our teams feel supported, connected, and celebrated. You'll also coordinate travel and logistics for company meetings and events and serve as the welcoming face of our organization in our front lobby. Responsibilities:
Plan and execute employee engagement events and company meetings including all logistics, meals, travel, accommodations, and venue arrangements.
Manage internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, and digital displays.
Oversee office management, including supplies, vendor coordination, mail distribution, and general administrative support.
Serve as the first point of contact for guests, vendors, and employees, ensuring a professional and welcoming front office experience.
Work closely with the Director of Outreach and Engagement to implement programs that enhance employee engagement, strengthen community partnerships, and create meaningful opportunities for teams to give back through service and charitable initiatives.
Execute additional tasks as assigned.
Experience:
Proven experience in event planning and coordination, including managing logistics, budgets, and vendor relationships.
Strong writing skills with experience in internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, and digital content creation. Basic graphic design and layout skills are a plus. (e.g. Canva, Microsoft Publisher, Constant Contact or similar)
Previous experience in office management or administrative support, including internal supply management.
Outreach or service project experience is a plus, especially in coordinating volunteer initiatives or community engagement efforts.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and engage with audiences.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with employees, vendors, and community partners.
Proactive in identifying issues and developing effective solutions to ensure smooth operations. Can generate ideas and structure programs to advance the company's outreach and engagement mission.
Ability to lead initiatives and coordinate teams to achieve engagement and event goals.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Business Casual.
Moderate travel may be required.
