Sr. Test Engineer-Integrated Circuits (Finance)
Position Description:
Sr. Test Engineer-Integrated Circuits for Medtronic, Inc., located in Tempe, AZ. Design, deliver, and support test solutions in support of production testing and product development for innovative implantable medical grade electronics. Coordinate technical project planning and test development activities for medium and complex test program developments utilizing Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project to construct project schedules. Perform MSA (Measurement System Analysis). Perform peer review. Coordinate CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) activities related to non-conformances to increase business efficiency, compliance and reduce quality findings. Develop software applications using ATE (Automated Test Equipment) to test electronics including multi-chip electronic assembly intended for medical device application. Responsible for PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) design using CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools such as OrCAD, Altium and Pads to develop application-specific test hardware for different testers. Develop and debug software to test digital, mixed signal ICs (Integrated Circuits) and other components using various Automated Test Equipment (ATE) programming languages including SPEA, C, Python and C++. Develop optimized integrated circuits test solutions to perform mixed signal, analog, and digital testing. Utilize various lab equipment including Oscilloscopes, DMMs (Digital Multi Meters), SMUs (Source Measurement Units), Power Supplies and Differential Amplifiers to evaluate functionality. Perform Statistical Analysis using Gage R&R (Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility), Equivalency Studies and Accuracy Analysis to understand test variation, tester to tester distributions, yield capabilities and product performance. Perform bench characterization, root cause analysis, risk assessments, FMEA (Failure mode effect analysis). Perform Verification and Validation for individual test blocks, and document test procedures and reports following the SOP (Standard Operation Procedures). Utilize various DFT (Design for Test) techniques and test protocols to including JTAG, SCAN, UART and SPI. Work in a cleanroom environment. Position works a hybrid model and will be onsite in Tempe, AZ 4 days per week. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. #LI-DNI
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering, and two (2) years of experience as a test engineer or related occupation in electronic testing for medical device products. Must possess at least two (2) years of experience with each of the following: Software Applications Development using ATE; PCB design using OrCAD, Altium and/or Pads; developing and debugging software to test digital and mixed signal ICs using SPEA, C, and C++; Oscilloscopes, DMMs, SMUs, Power Supplies, and Differential Amplifiers; Gage R&R, Equivalency Studies, and Accuracy Analysis; bench characterization, root cause analysis, risk assessments, and FMEA; Verification and Validation for test blocks, test procedures, and reports; DFT techniques and test protocols to include JTAG, SCAN, UART and SPI; and working in a cleanroom environment. Salary: $110,400 to $148,800 per year
