Launch Driver - Summer 2025 (Transportation)
The Launch Driver operates a USCG inspected launch as a lifeline for customers and guests between the boat yard dock to customer boats in mooring field. Responsibilities include watchkeeping for boats in mooring field, on dock and dinghy dock and taking appropriate action to safeguard any boats and passengers before problems occur. Professionalism while monitoring and communicating over marine VHF is essential duty, as is a helpful, polite, service oriented attitude with willingness to lend a hand. The idyllic location of Safe Harbor Jamestown Boat Yard makes for a beautiful yet dynamically challenging location to operate a boat. Launch driver should be comfortable operating 23 ft powerboat and catching lines for boats approaching and departing dock. Peripheral responsibilities include general maintenance of waterfront and customer facing facilities and communicating any issues to management. This is a seasonal position from mid May through mid October.
