Machine Operator- weekend shift (Media)
The Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and preventative maintenance of machine equipment in alignment with manufacturing orders (MO) and the production schedule. Includes operator-level troubleshooting and problem-solving. The Machine Operator ensures compliance with company safety, housekeeping, and operating procedures.
WHAT YOULL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
High school diploma, trade school graduate, or equivalent GED. Basic math, reading, and computer skills; able to understand and follow manufacturing orders (MOs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and work instructions. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and coordination of materials and supplies. Excellent mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity Ability to work with sharp tools, wear hearing protection, and maintain high visual attention to detail for print appearance and ink color matching.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Set up, operate, and adjust equipment according to Manufacturing Orders (MO), Standard Operating Conditions (SOC), and production schedules. Inspect product for size, appearance, count, and quality specifications to ensure compliance with standards. Assist maintenance teams with preventative and production maintenance, escalating issues to supervisors as needed. Read and follow Manufacturing Orders (MO), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company policies and procedures. Notify supervisors of paper, roll, or case shortages to ensure uninterrupted production. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to 5S, housekeeping, and safety standards. Communicate effectively and work collaboratively within the team. Report operating deviations or mechanical issues, proposing machine modifications to improve production and product quality. Assist with mounting and de-mounting printing plates in the wax department and support material handling across the facility. Conduct inventories of ink, plates, glues, and MRO supplies, and notify supervisors of low stock levels to facilitate timely reordering.
Applicants must be comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Hearing protection and steel toed shoes are required. Safety, hygiene and cleanliness is strictly enforced. Applicants must be able to engage in periods of long standing and walking, and perform consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Compensation Range: $17.00-$22.00 annually. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based onthe skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position. ACR reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
