ServiceNow Change Configuration Manager (243) (Information Technology)
OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Change and Configuration Manager to support our Federal Government contract with expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, Integration Hub, and Spokes. This role will ensure accurate configuration management, code promotion through CI/CD pipelines, and effective code reviews to maintain system integrity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems and automating deployment workflows.
The position is remote, with occasional on-site meetings at IRS facilities as required.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee configuration management processes using ServiceNow CMDB to ensure accurate asset and configuration item tracking.
- Implement and manage ServiceNow Integration Hub and Spokes to automate system integrations and streamline workflows.
- Manage pipeline promotion of code across development, testing, and production environments.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards, security requirements, and performance best practices.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines with ServiceNow for automated deployment and configuration updates.
- Develop dashboards and reports to monitor configuration compliance, system performance, and deployment status.
- Integrate CI/CD tools with ServiceNow ITSM to support seamless change and configuration management
- Align all changes to configuration items maintained in the CMDB
- Automate CI/CD pipelines and IaC processes using ServiceNow spokes
- Facilitate cross-platform developer integration into standardized change management
- Validate and map data across ServiceNow, CMDB, and related CI/CD systems
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A Minimum of 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow configuration management.
- Expertise with Integration Hub and Spokes to automate system integrations.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline promotion and code reviews, ensuring code quality and security.
- Strong knowledge of ITSM Change Management processes and ServiceNow best practices.
- Experience with scripting languages, including JavaScript and Glide scripting.
- Ability to collaborate with DevOps teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong background in change and configuration management with a focus on CMDB CI alignment
- Ability to work collaboratively across development teams and integrate complex systems
- Excellent skills in data validation, mapping, and reporting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.
- ServiceNow CMDB or ITSM certification preferred.
- Experience working in a federal government environment, preferably with the IRS.
- Proven ability to automate deployment pipelines using ServiceNow Spokes and low-code platforms.
- Familiarity with integrating CMDB updates into automated workflows.
