This position involves a varying degree of exposure to risk of accident and requires following basic safety precautions. Work is normally performed in a shared work environment, divided between the shop floor and an atypical interior work space. While not exposed to hazardous materials, this position requires wearing full PPE to protect from mobile equipment and hot materials when on the shop floor.
This position requires moderate physical activity, such as walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time.
This position also requires a willingness to maintain flexible work schedule and be available 24/7. Primary Purpose of Job
Howmet Aerospace Cleveland Operations, a forging facility located at 1600 Harvard Ave., is seeking an Off-Shift Supervisor to join its Operations Department. Under the direction of the Plant Operations Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing the Production and Maintenance activities that occur during either the 3 rd shifts (11PM - 7AM) by being an integral member of the help chain in the areas of Safety, Delivery, and Continuous Improvement. The Superintendent sets expectations, audits performance, counsels Production Supervisors, trains, acts as a role model, and influences policies and practices to exceed set departmental goals. Direct reports include all Operations Supervisors assigned to the incumbent's respective shift. The incumbent communicates continually with Operations Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisors, and Process Engineers.
