Position Overview
As a Security Officer with a Military Background, you will leverage your training, discipline, and strategic awareness to maintain a safe and secure environment. Your responsibilities will include access control, surveillance, emergency response, and incident reporting, ensuring the highest level of security for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Visitor Management & Access Control
Professionally greet and verify visitor identity upon arrival.Utilize a visitor management system to check guests in and out.Issue visitor badges and guide guests to their designated locations.Maintain detailed and accurate visitor logs.Enforce strict access control protocols to prevent unauthorized entry.
Security & Surveillance
Conduct routine security patrols to identify vulnerabilities.Monitor CCTV cameras, access control panels, and alarm systems (fire/intrusion).Quickly assess and respond to security threats, reporting any unusual activity.Maintain constant communication with security teams and relevant departments.
Incident Response & Reporting
Respond swiftly and effectively to security breaches, disturbances, and emergency situations.Assist in emergency evacuations, lockdowns, and crisis management scenarios.Report all security incidents and concerns to Metro One leadership.Provide immediate assistance during medical emergencies, fires, or active threats.
Communication & Customer Service
Answer calls and inquiries in a professional manner.Maintain a strong security presence while also providing excellent customer service.Educate employees and visitors on security policies and situational awareness.
Package Handling & Security Awareness
Inspect and log deliveries at designated entry points.Reinforce security awareness and best practices among employees and guests.Identify and mitigate potential security risks before escalating.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Prior Military Service Required (Active, Reserve, or Veteran status).Strong ability to assess threats, enforce security policies, and de-escalate situations.Experience operating CCTV monitoring systems, access control technology, and alarm systems.Excellent situational awareness and attention to detail.Ability to enforce security protocols with discipline and professionalism.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to remain composed and take decisive action in high-pressure scenarios.Physical endurance to stand for extended periods, patrol large areas, and respond quickly to security threats.CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (bi-annual renewal required).Valid NJ SORA License required (Sponsorship available if needed).
