Job Overview: Linde Gases US (LGUS) has an immediate opening for a position for a Lead Production Technician to support our HyCO (Hydrogen and CO) facility. Under direction of facility management, the Lead Production Technician position requires the selected individual have extensive knowledge of complex facility reformer operations. Typical candidate has 10+ years of facility experience. Candidate must be capable of completing a multitude of complex facility tasks to maintain safe reliable operations meeting all safety, environmental, corporate, efficiency and production guidelines. Primary Responsibilities: - Complete process training with new hires. Working to improve new hire support and continual training with the entire operations team. Develop additional training information as needed to support these efforts. - Operations liaison between the evening shift and day shift; responsible for communicating process related issues to the appropriate discipline for support and corrective action. - Daily Review of process equipment, overlooking critical process controls using control system to maintain optimum process efficiency while meeting customer demands. contractual obligations and environmental compliance - Facility field monitoring of process equipment to maximize reliability by identifying potential problems before they become an unscheduled shutdown. - Maintain an open dialog with facility management about operational and efficiency deviations, along with plans to mitigate future occurrences through additional monitoring, training, and use of standard operating procedures to maintain effectiveness - Provide support for facility maintenance activities requiring a thorough understanding of process operations creating a safe work environment for all normal and abnormal work conditions. - Responsible for creating, implementing, and reviewing the lock out tag out procedures for process equipment. A go-to individual during process maintenance activities knowledgeable to help recognize hazards and communicate them within the organization. - Create Standard Operating Procedures using knowledge acquired by following corporate guidelines and communicating with others to develop / modify safe accurate operating procedures. Provide training to operations staff on the use of new or revised procedures. - Routine monitoring of facility quality assurance records meets our corporate guidelines. - Provide continuous operations support, includes being on-call, working over and available, as needed, to maintain / support facility projects through completion. - Shift(s) will be predominantly day turns, Monday through Friday. Training and other events will require some flexibility, to provide training, control room coverage, etc. Qualifications: - 5+ years' experience in an industrial production environment - High School Diploma or equivalent is required. - Associate in Applied Sciences Degree or equivalent apprenticeship preferred. - Previous experience in a continuous chemical operation environment preferred. - Motivated, self-starter capable of effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities. - Relevant computer and technical skills - Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required.
