A Day in the Life
This position has the responsibility and authority to provide remote and on-site engineering support to the navigation and intraoperative imaging products installed base and driving customer satisfaction through service.
Additional Information
• \tLocation: Individuals must reside within the Minneapolis are.
• \tTerritory: This person will support the MN territory primarily but will also be a floater for the Western half of the region helping cover Iowa, St. Louis and Wisconsin.
• \tTravel: This position will require up to 75% of travel.
• \tEquipment: This position will work on O-arm and Mazor with the ability to potentially cross train on other platforms later.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
• \tTravel to sites to work as a member of the local team to provide efficient repair / installation support to all accounts within assigned area.
• \tInstalls, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment on designated equipment.
• \tPerforms a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
• \tAnalyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
• \tTroubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimal time.
• \tSupport future product integrations by performing upgrades and or configuration updates to existing and future imaging/navigation equipment.
• \tLead and participate in product technical repair and clinical use training with domestic, international and 3rd party staff members.
• \tProvide testing and validation support to the manufacturer's organization, as applicable.
• \tKeeping accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers including all assigned complaints, follow-up actions, root cause analysis and final resolution within the complaint tracking system.
Qualifications - External
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
• \tHigh School Diploma or equivalent required
• \t4 years technician, clinical field service or clinical customer support experience.
Nice to Have
• \tBachelor's degree in Bioengineering, engineering or technology field.
• \tPrevious experience as Technician/Field Services within medical device industry.
• \tExperience with orthopedic anatomy, surgical protocol and medical terminology.
• \tAbility to troubleshoot with technical skills, creativity and high discipline.
• \tFamiliarity with most commonly used test equipment (i.e.: dosimeter, power supplies, DVM's, signal generators, flow meters, etc.)
• \tAbility to read and understand schematics and engineering drawings.
• \tFamiliar with the FDA 21 CFR, CGMP for Medical devices.
• \tExcellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.
• \tResponsive problem solver and action oriented in resolving customer issues and meeting customer requirements.
• \tExperience with x-Ray systems particularly mobile fluoroscopy or CT systems.
• \tExperience with robotics or motion control helpful

TECHNICIAN SUPPORT CAREER STREAM: Provides technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development. Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations. For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes.

Autonomy: Seasoned individual contributor, working under limited supervision, and providing assistance and training to lower level employees.
Runs minor projects, including performing tests, interpreting data, developing reports.

Innovation and Complexity: Technical problems faced are general, and may require some analysis to understand and resolve.

Leadership and Talent Management: Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area.
Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$67,000 - $100,800
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
