Admissions and Insurance Specialist (Administrative)
Assists clients by taking requests for service(s) phone calls and confirming eligibility for services with CORE Health. Completes new client steps including but not limited to, verifying insurance and completing appropriate documentation;
Manages the scheduling of all intakes at the assigned location. Communicates with site leads when intake schedule exceeds two weeks;
Works within the organization's electronic health record (EHR) system to complete various tasks including but not limited to, entering admissions and request for service bundles, completing discharge bundles and copying appropriate documents into the system;
Contacts clients on behalf of the organization to reschedule no-show intake appointments. Completes reengagement notes when applicable;
Communicates with clients when insurance expires and assists in the re-enrollment of insurance coverage;
Reviews all intake forms to ensure completion of documents and accuracy of data. Remains available to assist clients in the completion of intake paperwork when necessary. Completes assigned documents and scans completed paperwork into the clients chart;
Completes client discharge for individuals who do not meeting criteria for services at the time of intake and/or does not meet organizational requirements including but not limited to, having more than one no-show for an intake appointment;
Complies with all HIPAA and 42 CFR privacy and security regulations;
Completes additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in both group and individual settings;
Ability to work in a team based environment;
Knowledgeable in HIPAA and 42 CFR regulations;
Implement quality process initiatives by utilizing tools to ensure customer satisfaction;
Establishes and maintains effective interpersonal relationships with customers, peers, management, partners, community based organizations, private employers, and other state & public agencies;
Performs computer applications & internet operations;
Works in a fast paced environment demonstrating flexibility and ability to adapt to change; and,
Recruits & engages customers into a system that provides a multitude of services to meet their needs.
