Human Resources/Payroll Assistant (Administrative)
Responsibilities
Assist in the recruitment and onboarding processes, including scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters, and ensuring all new hire documentation is completedCreate and maintain complete and confidential files on each employee and ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date in HR databaseRespond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures along with various information requests from governmental agencies, such as Unemployment, in a timely manner.Support the HR team with employee training and development initiatives.Assist with employee performance management and disciplinary processes as needed.Assist in processing semi-monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and local regulations.Maintain and update employee payroll information, including tax exemptions, and benefits deductions.Assist with company benefit administration to include enrollment forms, plan questions, claims resolution, and open enrollment.Assist with year-end payroll processing, including the preparation of W-2s and other required formsVerify timekeeping records, making necessary corrections and adjustments.Assist in managing workers compensation injury claims. File reports with insurance provider, maintain accident information and monitor progress.Attend local job fairs
