The annual salary range for this position is $43,230 - 57,640. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status. 1. Job Summary:
The Individual Giving Associate advances philanthropy for the YMCA of the North by leading and supporting various key strategies in Mission Advancement. The Individual Giving Associate will provide critical, detail-oriented support for stewardship communications, endowment management activities, and prospect research. This team member will also serve as a lead for Mission Advancement events.
2. Essential Functions:
· Collaborate with the Senior Director of Individual Giving to determine type, quantity and quality of cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, prospecting and marketing resources required each year. · Collaborate with Mission Advancement team and Association Leaders to meet Individual Giving's discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship donor needs. · Collaborate with Marketing, Communication and Digital teams, Mission Advancement, Operations teams, and outside vendor when applicable to develop production timelines, ensure high quality and error-free collateral materials, and assure timely delivery of materials. · Lead Mission Advancement events - including but not limited to the Heritage Society Annual Event; and Individual Giving cultivation/stewardship gatherings. · Lead the execution, recording and completion of planned gift documentation across digital, electronic and paper databases. · Continue to develop knowledge and skills needed to demonstrate expertise in the field of financial development. · Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds. · Contribute to the overall success of Mission Advancement by performing all other duties as assigned.
3. Relationships: This position reports to the Senior Director of Individual Giving who reports to the Vice President of Mission Advancement. The incumbent interacts regularly with the Individual Giving team members, Donor Management, Finance staff, as well as with Executive Directors, Donors and Volunteers. The employee does not supervise staff.
4. Qualifications: Required: · Minimum of 3 years of fundraising, donor relations and project management experience using tools with high attention to detail. · Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. · Must be exceedingly well organized and work flexible hours when needed · Strong interpersonal communication skills, relatability as well as approachability with a keen focus on diversity and inclusion. · Ability to work in collaboration with cross-functional teams and leaders at various levels to achieve desired results. · High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and skilled in Publishing Software such as Marq, In-design, or equivalent. · Excellent oral and written communication skills and time management. · Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. · Ability to be both strategic and work hands on. Preferred: · Bachelor's degree · Experience working in a non-profit organization. · Experience with Raiser's Edge.
5. Work Conditions:
· Operates a computer for most of the day. · Travel locally for meetings and special events. · Ability to lift and move 20-40# boxes of printed material.
