Metal Fabricator 1 (Manufacturing)
• Ability to read and follow specification sheets and drawings.
• Fabricates parts by using appropriate tools resident in the metal shop.
• Ensures all parts are in direct compliance with ICS's quality standards.
• Certified on all equipment resident in the metal shop.
• Conduct daily safety and operational inspections on equipment being used, recording all information on the form.
• Alerts Supervisor and Lead personnel if equipment is not functioning properly.
• Assists Supervisor and Lead person in developing “Cut sheets.”
• Delivers all fabricated parts to the assembly line, on time, properly marked and within quality standards.
• Assists Line Lead or Supervisor in ordering replenishment metal parts.
• Uses metal tape measure to verify first and last part formed on the sheer or brake.
• Legibly labels the parts produced with the serial number and product number of the building (black permanent marker)
• Produces accessory parts, trim pieces and small assembly parts when directed to do so by Line Lead or Supervisor
• Segregates usable metal pieces, storing them properly and using them for other applications.
• Continually performs 5S throughout the metal shop.
• Cross trains within other departments.
• Adheres to all policies, rules, regulations of International Cold Storage, Carrier, and United Technologies
• Communicates effectively with production team, internal employees, and individuals external to the organization.
• Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects relating to training and development.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Formal or OJT sheet metal training and certification
